Spark Summit SF: deepsense.io Seahorse now available for IBM Data Scientist Workbench

deepsense.io, a Silver Sponsor of this year’s Spark Summit San Francisco, is set to announce that its Seahorse scalable visual data analytics platform is now integrated into IBM’s Data Scientist Workbench. During the conference, the Menlo Park and Warsaw-based Big Data science company will also share its machine learning team’s recent achievements in Kaggle competitions.

During Spark Summit San Francisco, deepsense.io will announce that the company’s flagship product, Seahorse, is now integrated into IBM’s Data Scientist Workbench. The announcement is a milestone in the company’s ongoing effort to allow data scientists around the world to visually design, edit and execute Spark applications using a Web-based code-free interface. Additionally, deepsense.io is finalizing Seahorse’s integration into Trusted Analytics Platform (TAP), where it will be deployable with a single click throught the App Marketplace.

“Spark Summit is a top industry event and we’re proud to be among the conference’s sponsors for the fourth time. Our commitment to Spark, the fastest data processing engine on the market, is clear – after all, Seahorse is powered by Spark,” said deepsense.io CEO Tomasz Kulakowski. “This is a very exciting month for us, we are finalizing Seahorse’s integration with some of the most popular platforms used by data scientists around the world. We are very happy and proud to contribute to the creation of this ecosystem of data analytics tools, and are excited to use solutions such as visual Spark to allow data scientists to focus on their primary task of analyzing data.”

Earlier this year, deepsense.io’s machine learning team received global media coverage for its win in Kaggle and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries’ Right Whale Recognition Challenge. The team’s automated facial recognition process for identifying individual whales based on aerial photographs beat out 364 other entries and illustrated the scope of machine learning’s diverse real-world applications.
