Client’s Challenge
A US-based spirits producer and distributor needed a more efficient way for business users to work with internal data stored in Microsoft Fabric. Analytical questions that required querying warehouse data, comparing sources, or preparing recurring reports still depended on manual analysis and technical support.
Our Solution
We designed and deployed an enterprise-grade MCP server on Azure that securely connects ChatGPT with the client’s Microsoft Fabric environment. The server uses OAuth-based authentication and controlled data access to let ChatGPT query approved datasets, run predefined analytical workflows, and return structured outputs such as summaries, tables, and reports.
Client’s Benefits
The client gained a secure interface for accessing Microsoft Fabric data through ChatGPT, enabling business users to ask ad hoc analytical questions and receive structured, natural-language responses. The solution reduced dependence on manual reporting workflows, made internal data easier to use for non-technical teams, and supported faster analysis across operational, commercial, and financial use cases.
